Dr. R.K. Sharma, Professor and Head of the Department of Ancient Indian History Culture and Archaeology, University of Jabalpur, retired in 1992. Subsequently he was Visiting Professor in the University of Sagar. At present he is Senior Research Fellow of the Indian Council of Historical Research. Dr. Sharma?s contributions to the cause of archaeology are widely acclaimed. Agrawal (b. 1947) obtained his Master?s Degree in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology with merit from the Jiwaji University, Gwalior (in 1970) and Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology in 1971. He joined the Archaeological Survey of India in 1972. He had the privilege of working in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Orissa, Jammu and Kashmir and has widely travelled. He also participated in excavations at Purana Qila, Delhi, Mathura excavations and conducted excavations at Hampi in the year 1979-80. Presently he is superintending Archaeologists of the Bhopal Circle and has taken up the exploration and excavation of Buddhist sites around Sanchi and conservation of large number of monuments in Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Agrawal has been closely associated with many academic bodies and has published research papers on Art, Archaeology and Paintings. Dr. O.P. Misra, M.A. in A.I.H.C. & Archaeology from Gorakhpur University, did his P.G. Diploma in Museology from Bhopal University an
