Swaminathan Gurumurthy, a well-known public personality in India, is a legal and financial professional, investigative journalist, writer, academic and activist. He is a Visiting Faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and Distinguished Professor of Legal Anthropology at the Palkhiwala Centre for Legal Anthropology, Sastra University. He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee member of the Vivekananda International Foundation.
Arvind Gupta is presently Director, Vivekananda International Foundation. He has earlier held positions of Deputy National Security Adviser; Secretary, National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), (2014-17); and Joint Secretary, NSCS on deputation from Ministry of External Affairs; 1999-2007. He has also served in Indian diplomatic missions in Moscow, London, and Ankara and dealt with Afghanistan, Kashmir, Soviet Union, Russia, and Central Asia in the Ministry of External Affairs. A prolific writer, he most recently co-edited India’s Foreign Policy: Surviving in a Turbulent World, Sage, 2020.
